We understand that one of the requirements to advance Krsna is being dependent on a strong faith and determination. We understand that high and properly become dependent, we free ourselves from the stalemate that keeps us in the body material in the material world. So, we free ourselves to become dependent properly.
Now there's a lot of unhealthy dependence. As we see in the Bhagavad Gita, Krsna is instructing Arjuna, but he is not doing things by Arjuna, Arjuna has yet to act on the instructions, although Krsna is there. So the first type of unhealthy dependency is that we think that the guru and Krsna will do activities for us. We think it is assumed that they will do magic while we sat and waited. We think that mercy is not the right effort. The effort and compassion are very important. So, we have a strong desire, spiritual greed (laulyam) and at the same time, we must constantly expect the mercy while we feel that we are not qualified to receive it.
So here's an interesting thought to be very fixed and determined, under the mercy, and at the same time feel that you deserve it. If we feel that we are qualified, so until we can get angry when considering why he has not given Krsna, Krsna or why has not more. But when we think that mercy is not important, then we believe that everything we do determines what the outcome. We can put you in a mindset karma-kanda and karma-mimansa. We started thinking, "Ok, I meditated, and I sang a lot. I fasted, I did this, did that. I have done so much service. Now Krsna, You have to do this. "Things do not pass this way. The connection is there, we must work as nothing, as if things depended on us, but at the same time be fully aware that Krsna is the latest driver. So unhealthy dependence is to think of Krsna and guru will do things for us.
